I hate crickets!

*runs around screaming*

There's a big huge one crawling around somewhere in the laundry room. I didn't have a fly swatter handy so I grabbed the can of lysol and sprayed the little bugger with it before he scrambled under the dryer...will Lysol kill bugs?

Oh God. I hate this time of year!!

My Jensen dream from the night before last did not continue last night. *sigh* Maybe tonight. Or maybe I'll have to wait a week like when you have to wait for a new episode of your favorite show? Who knows?

Last night in terms of sleep was rather sucky actually. I don't remember dreaming until after the Incident at 3:45 this morning. Said incident involved me walking to the bathroom (okay walking is probably overreaching--more like stumbling), spotting a bug of unknown origin on the floor and shrieking loudly when it started jumping TOWARD me. My first panicked thought was "OMG Cricket!" Followed quickly by: "RUN!" I wound up jumping up into a laundry basket behind me, breaking it when my foot went right through the bottom and then racing to turn on the light, at which point said bug was gone. It took me over an hour to get back to sleep and only then by convincing myself it was just a wolf spider and not a cricket.

So I managed to finally fall back asleep just before 5 a.m. and then I begin dreaming that my best friend Lea is having a birthday party in which me and a whole lot of others are at, including her stepfather. Well said stepfather said something that made Lea cry so I started cussing him out and then tackled him and beat the crap out of him. 0_o Nooo idea where the hell THAT came from, but whatever. So then the dream shifted and my friend Tim was there and he for some reason thought he was Rylee's father. *scratches head* I swear to God I don't know where I come up with this crap.

I mean I hate them with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. So this morning when I got to work and discovered ants all over my office, I was grossed out, disgusted, annoyed and knew this day was just bound to suck all to hell.

So I tell Patty about the ants. "The bug guy came Thursday." I can't help but wonder what he does when he's here. I think he feeds the ants so they'll multiply, spread and we'll keep calling him and forking over more money. So screw that.

I decided to take matters into my own hands. I grabbed my bottle of Ortho Home Defense MAX! 'Kills Bugs Inside! Keeps Bugs Outside All Season!!" So I tried to spray the ants...and the damn bottle wouldn't work. Puzzled, I looked at it to see what was wrong...and got squirted directly in the right eyeball. Lovely. The day just keeps on gettin' better.

So I run to the bathroom and rinse my eye out like it says to on the bottle...luckily my eye doesn't seem to be bothered at all.

But yeah, the moral of the story? Don't spray yourself in the eye with bugspray!!

Or at least crickets are. I was sitting here at my desk at work and then foom! Cricket falls from the ceiling and lands on my desk in front of me. I shrieked something to the effect of "Holy fuck!" and jumped back about six feet. *shudders* Now I'm going to be paranoid that crickets are going to fall on my head.

Because it's when all the crickets and grasshoppers come out. *shudder* I logged off after a long writing session with Bree last night and when I went into my room BIG OLD CRICKET staring at me from the floor. I shrieked, grabbed the fly swatter and proceeded to beat it to death. My guinea pigs got -really- quiet. :) I hate crickets. Give me a big furry spider or a slithering snake anyday over a cricket or a grasshopper. I know, I know, that sounds ridiculous right? Well, most phobias are.

Hey, Bree, if I'm not around this afternoon it's probably cause it started storming. It's -really- dark right now outside.

So I didn't sleep well because there was a really LOUD cricket chirping either somewhere in my room or outside my window. Not sure which. Searched the room several times and couldn't find him. So I woke up at 7 and couldn't go back to sleep. It was very annoying. So I get ready and come to school only to find out that my 10 a.m. has been cancelled and I don't have another class til Noon.

I've been working on the sequel to my TW/Halloween fic that I wrote last year. I listened to my Halloween soundtrack on the drive here, hoping it would get me in the mood. It probably would have worked better if I wasn't so zoned out from lack of sleep.

I wish it was winter and snowing and all the crickets were dead. If I find the stupid bastard, I'm going to catch him in a jar and -smother- him to death slowly with the lack of oxygen.

Ugh.

I hate summer. It's hot, and there are bugs everywhere. I HATE bugs. Specifically I hate crickets and grasshoppers. We've had so many crickets in our house this past week, I've lost count.

I wish it was snowing. So much so, I'm listening to Christmas music and trying to pretend it's winter time.

How pathetic is that?
