xtremeroswellia: (Guinea Pig: Faith)
Faith died sometime this morning. The vet estimated it was around 2:30. I knew yesterday when she refused to eat...the way she cuddled under my chin. I just knew. She went to be with her baby brother.

Rest in peace, Miss Faith. I miss you already.

If anyone wants to visit her memorial at Rainbow Bridge, it's: here.

And Bosco's memorial is here.

Okay, is it normal for guinea pigs to be scared of hamsters? Faith is terrified of Hammie and she's about five times bigger than he is. What's the deal? LOL.

HAHAHA!

Please stop trying to give your mom a heart attack, okay?

Much love and forgiveness,
Me

So I was sitting here about two hours ago checking my email and I hear this weird sound from Buttercup's cage so I go over to check on her and she's freaking *wheezing*. At least that's what it sounded like to me. I grabbed my cell phone, called the vet (who was thankfully in today) and they told me to bring her in. Three minutes flat I have her in the carrier, I am dressed, and out the door.

Dr. Rojas said she's not wheezing--that her lungs sound clear and she was probably making some weird new noise.

She hadn't lost any weight and she checked her over really well and the doc says she's just fine.

Thank God.

My dream started off with Bosco (my deceased guinea pig). I had somehow found a way to bring him back to life. But it only lasted for like an hour. But I'd captured it on video tape and had taken it in to show my coworkers Nabila and Vivian.

As I was contemplating how to bring him back permanently, I sat down to watch a new episode of Third Watch (which was cancelled ages ago, so weird...) and it was a normal start to an episode and all of a sudden Kim turned around and there was this huge wave of water crashing into the city and the Statue of Liberty was floating down the street.

At which point there was an interruption from the news saying that New York had been wiped out entirely by a flood and that the flood was spreading from there all across the country.

So everyone was packing their stuff and hopping into cars and driving as far West as they could. I was trying to figure out how to get all the stuff I would need into a small car with my parents. I packed up all kinds of stuff for my piggies, every CD I owned, and a few clothes. *scratches head* I drove to Lea's house as she was packing her stuff and hugged her and told her goodbye and I loved her and I hoped she'd make it to safety because she was heading somewhere different from me. I knew I was never going to see her again.

So then somehow I was to safety and was watching the news coverage and such of everyone else trying to make it to safety and it flashed on a couple people who'd gone to Alaska and they were walking across all the ice and snow and the ice got very thin and they were afraid they were going to fall through so they laid down on their stomachs and the girl was peering down through the ice and a huge polar bear swam right toward her and crashed through the ice. O.o And then it said, "To find out what happened, go see the movie."

WTF?

I have the weirdest dreams ever.

It is 5:05. As in, AM. As in, I'm awake. Wtf?

My pigs are very confused as to why I'm up and around.

Insomnia blows.

New piggie. She's been here almost two weeks. Her name is Isabel.

And, the hamster (Cookie) I'm fostering for a client:

I am really, really torn here guys.

Bosco died on Nov. 2, leaving Faith by herself. My natural inclination is to get another piggie friend for her, but honest to God, I'm scared. Losing Bozzie was...harder than losing relatives. Which probably sounds terrible, but he was my buddy.

Faith is too, and we've bonded even more since Bosco died. She's eating normally and wheeking for food but still hides in her pigloo a lot (which she did even before he passed away)...but I don't know if getting another pig is the best thing or not. I don't know if she's lonely. I give her tons of attention when I'm here but I work during the day five days a week.

I really need some advice guys. :/

It's over. He's gone. We had to have him put to sleep because he kept having convulsions and he was in pain.

Nanowhato?

I'm not saying for sure I'm dropping out, but Bosco is very sick. Had to make an emergency vet trip. Not looking good. Staying home tomorrow to take care of him. Please pray for him if you believe in prayer. I'm very freaked out.

Stuffez...

Just a quick update--between deadline, the office moving across town next week and Bosco being sick, I haven't been around much. I don't know when I'll be around again on a semi-regular basis. Things here are mad crazy and I'm not getting a whole lot of sleep.

Bosco IS doing better, but we're having to handfeed him *everything* because the stupid vet trimmed his teeth too short. On top of that, his bottom left tooth is fractured and infected so the SECOND, better vet prescribed him an antibiotic and pain killer. We're having to mush pellets with water and syringe it into his mouth to make sure he gets enough fiber and vitamin C. We tear up shreds of veggies and such for him, and have been hand feeding him hay. Each feeding takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Hence my not being on at home like, hardly at all.

But if you've commented/emailed me and I haven't gotten back with you, I'm *really* sorry. I'll get with you as soon as possible, cross my heart.

If you've written a fic I should read, leave me a comment here with the link and I'll get to that when I get some time, as well. I'm not keeping up with my flist very well this week. :/ Sorry guys!!

Bing the guinea pig died last night. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Bonnie, who lost an incredibly special friend who made a whole lot of the world smile.
