So for those of you who aren't already aware of this (and I suspect, honestly, there really aren't THAT many), the truth about Kryptonsite's administrator, Craig, finally came out today in a public way.

You all remember Craig, right? The guy who swears up one side and down the other how he's not
biased against any group of fans or any ship, etc, etc.?

Yep, as suspected by many, and already known by most? Big fat liar.

It all started on Brian and Kelly's facebook page. A Chlollie fan made a post about Clois and Chlollie and, out of the blue, Craig posted that he didn't see why we had a problem with Dollie.

(Um, because we're Chlollie fans and don't care about Dollie? Because Smallville is not based on Green Arrow comics? Because even in the comics Dollie sucks? Heh, apparently skills of deduction aren't really a strong suit of his either. Please forgive my snark here, just had to state the obvious.)

A couple of people tried to explain, and then he got defensive. See the whole facebook conversation here:

At which point vval got this facebook direct message from Craig:


Very mature response on his part considering how "unbiased" and "professional" he's supposed to be. And then he tweets this with the Chlollie hashtag so he will get lots of attention and people can inquire as to why he's tweeting that and hear about how "victimized" he was. Poor baby. Someone call the waaambulance.

Sorry, but my sympathy level for people who are in positions of "power" who use that power to make other people feel like their opinions and thoughts don't account for anything is pretty much zilch. (And I use the term "power" loosely here because this is just thankfully a fandom and his "power" amounts to talking to the writers of the show on occasion or whatever, but hey, guess what? I have twitter and I can do that too, and sometimes they even respond back! Gasp! I think Craig is bitter that his "power" has been diminished now that anyone can interact with the writers on facebook and twitter and not everything has to be done through his biased site anymore and he has to try and establish that he and said site are still relevant. Just my personal hypothesis.)

So yes, if you are a Chlollie fan who has been banned from K-Site it's because you ARE A CHLOLLIE FAN. It's not because you're breaking the rules--because people do that ALL the time. Strangely it's the Chlollie fans who've been getting banned rather than fans of other ships who break the same rules. So, Craig, in short, don't try pissing on my leg and telling me it's rain, because we're onto you. Thanks for confirming it. :)

Furthermore, I don't care if you ship Chlollie. I don't care WHO you ship, but when you're in a position like Craig's where you are benefitting from the fans who visit your site, and you're insulting those same fans--you're making an ass out of yourself and I will be happy to be the one to step up, point out your idiocy, your hypocrisy, your general jack-assness and do it in a very public way.

So. Feel free to link back to this all over the place. I've disabled anonymous posting because if sometone doesn't have the guts to say something using their actual identity, then frankly, they don't need to be talking to me anyway.

Sidenote: Sorry for not cutting the image on the post. I think everyone NEEDS to see what Craig's REALLY like.

This entry isn't intended for anyone outside of the Third Watch fandom, so feel free to skip over it. Lauren, I know you're a TW fan, but I also know you're not heavily involved in the fandom, thus this doesn't pertain to you either. So I'm not addressing you at all! *hugs*

I'm sad to say that this will be my last public post. Ever.

I'm sad to say that what was once a safe haven for me to go to when I was at my lowest has become the least safe place for me now.

I'm sad to say that as much as I love Third Watch and the fandom, I don't need or want the extra drama that goes along with being part of it. At least as far as Live Journal goes. I'll still be around the boards, but I'm jumping ship on LJ. After today, my LJ will be friends only.

I hate conflict. Despise it. I don't deal well with it. I'm a peacemaker, always have been. But as I've gotten older I've realized that trying to please everyone is futile. I've realized that sometimes if I don't speak my mind, it's just as damaging as saying something that might cause a potential conflict.

So at the risk of causing said conflict, I’m going to tell you a little story. It’s not directed at any one person in particular—it’s directed at everyone in the fandom.

Two nights ago, I made a bad judgement call. A really bad one. This bad judgement call has caused problems on the 55-David board and for that I apologize. I told someone to go ahead and post a link to something that wasn't appropriate--a picture of Anthony in a state of semi-undress. I wasn't thinking, and that was my fault.

When someone else informed me that Anthony had specifically requested not to have that picture floating around the internet, I immediately deleted said post out of respect to Anthony. I apologize to both people this caused problems for. It was my fault and I'm sorry. I take full responsibility.
