Do you think it's possible to ever be 100% completely and truly over your first love? Or do you think that some small part of you will -always- love that person and hold out hope that things will someday work out with them?

I think you'll always hang onto them, I know I do with mine. But there also comes a time when you stop wishing things will work out. It doesn't hurt any more. Promise.

It's been my experience that there is always a small part that doesn't stop loving that first person. I see mine at least twice a week and know for a fact there is absolutely no way I could ever work out with him. It doesn't stop me from thinking "what if"

He's a nice guy, he's just a little dim. *sigh*

It doesn't hurt forever. Mine's dimmed into a tiny tug from time to time. Hang in there.

I don't think it is. I've been broken up with my first love for over two years, and I still sometimes regret breaking up with him. Its a hard thing to get over.

I don't think you ever truly get over your first love, or at least in my POV. *sniffles* Sadly, there's always something there, it's heartbreking, to be totally honest.

PS, my brother wants to know who that girl is in 'haunted by a whisper', he says she's cute.

hehe...her name is Eliza Dushku. She plays on Tru Calling, and she was previously on Buffy and Angel as 'Faith' the vampire slayer. She's also starred in True Lies, Bring it On and Wrong Turn.
