Very interesting poll, Angie. :D Seriously, though? Gifts are nice when they come from the heart, and that doesn't mean it has to be a tangible thing... Friendship is far and away better than physical gifts. ;)
I'm a practical girl myself. If it is useful I don't care if it is homemade or not. Food, shorts, etc. I'd rather get a nice box of cookies or homemade jam, a cross-stitched bookmark over a bought trinket/jewelry that will collect dust or I won't wear/enjoy.
I only say "Gifts suck out loud" because I'm one of those people who feels immensely guilty when someone gets me a gift or buys me something. Even if I've bought/given them something, too.
Personally, I think something that would be the best is anything really meaningful that I automatically just... get. Like a scrapbook or something. Just something neat that you really just adore.
