Funny Story.

So today I was telling my co-workers that the lady at the local family owned pet shop offered to let me have as many of their gerbils as I wanted for a penny a piece.

My co-worker Patty got this horrified look on her face and stared at me. "Aren't those the ones you're not supposed to feed after dark?"

I stared at her for a minute because seriously? I thought she was joking. She totally wasn't. So I looked at my other co-worker, who looked as dumbfounded as I felt and then I looked back at Patty, trying unsuccessfully NOT to laugh and told her, "No...you're thinking of gremlins."

"Oh. They're not the same thing?"

Me: "Patty? Gremlins aren't real. They were from a movie."

At which point other co-worker and I started cracking up, and Patty joined us.
