Break the Silence
Jan. 8th, 2004 05:06 pmBree (NYPDBosco) and I have started working on a project for the new year, something we'd eventually like to submit for publication.
Our goal is to complete a collection of stories/poems/essays/artwork written by people who are survivors of sexual violence, be it sexual harassment, rape or sexual abuse. The purpose of this book would be to give a voice to survivors all over the world, as well as to help further educate the general public about sexual violence.
We were wondering if anyone in this community would possibly be interested in contributing a piece of writing or artwork for this collection. You wouldn't have to use your real name if you didn't want to, you could go by an alias or just your first name, whatever you're comfortable with.
There is a 5000 word limit (roughly 10 typed pages). Multiple submissions will be considered. The tentative deadline for submissions is February 10, 2004. Anyone of any race, gender, sexuality, or religion may submit writing/artwork.
