Spending it with the family, like every other year. But, new house, so some slightly new traditions. Christmas decorations (apart from my desk) are going up today. WOO!
Same as every year. Go to the parents on Christmas eve, come back the day after Christmas. Hope to work in a high school friends dinner sometime in the next few weeks.
We always go over to Dave's parents' home on Christmas eve for dinner. Otherwise I don't celebrate in any way since it's not my holiday, though I send out holiday-related cards.
I celebrate the solstice but in a low key way because I'm always dealing with seasonal depression.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas despite the situation with your grandma.
Nothing exciting. I don't want anything for Christmas and my parents are insisting there has to be something. I just don't feel in the holiday spirit. Usually my mom's side has all the holidays but my dad did his yearly hissy fit so now I don't know if we're holding it here.
My parents have been divorced since I was five, so holidays have always one long roadtrip. Since I've been married, I have skipped the road trip by spending the Christmas Eve/Christmas day with his family. I'll probably do that, and then spend the weekend visiting both my families.
Small family dinner on Christmas eve with my parents, my brother, his wife and their two kids. And family dinner again on Christmas day with the same people, plus my grandparents, my sister, my other brother, my bro-in-law, my sis-in-law and all the kids. Sixteen people in one room filled with gifts to open, it should be fun! That is, if my sis-in-law doesn't have her baby before then! Baby's due on mid-January but with babies, you never know!
I know I'm late...but I'm doing the usual NJ visit to the Carroll's (how funny...Christmas...Carroll's!) And excited for all my toy r us shopping for Bella! Kids are so fun to shop for :)
