No Subject

I'm working on an original story. I hope it turns out to be a novel, but right now I'm just going with the flow. My stomach is doing this fluttery nervous thing because so far it's coming out in first person and...honestly, I'm really uncomfortable writing first person. Especially this particular story.

*sighs* I really need to get a writing group together again.

First person is hard to write. I'm not good at it, either. But I know you, Ang. I know whatever you crank out is going to be GOOD. And I'll be pushing you, whether you like it or not. ;)

In the meantime, try to find a writer's group? Is that something you can do online?

Ehh...I'd rather find an in person one, actually. I did run into some old friends from the Write Stuff last week and we talked about getting together maybe once a month to do a writer's group, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Why not? You think they wouldn't be supportive of your current writing efforts? :(

My old group? No, they're great. It's the scheduling thing that's the problem. Becky is working on her Master's in Business Communication, and Debby has a 17 year old son. :P And I haven't talked to Larry in ages.

Ugh, yeah, that sucks big time. :\ I really hope you can find something!

Novels are always difficult. I'm trying to work up the courage to tackle another one. It's not like I can't write quickly, or enough. for me, it's finding the courage to tackle original subject matter again.

If you want someone to bounce Ideas off of, I'm here.

Thanks so much :)

I know how you feel. I've got three works I'm trying to write [one fan fic, one short story, one a book on mundane descriptions] but for the life of me, I have no inspiration. I'm trying things I haven't done before and it's awkward for me. If you need an overseer or proofreader at any point, I'd be happy to help.

Ditto that! And thanks so much for the offer :D

The first thing that pops into my mind? SQUEE! Although I totally understand your nerves writing an original story (particularly first person). I also know you'll do a wonderful job with it, because everything your write is golden.

Good for you. Don't be nervous. First person can be fun, and it's not hard to learn to do it well.

If you want any feedback or beta-ing, I'd be willing:-).

Thanks Elly!! I may take you up on that. ;) ♥
